Kinematics
Mechanics
The branch of science in which we deal with the action of force on bodies at rest or motion is called mechanics. It is divided into two type:
- Static Mechanics
- Dynamic Mechanics
Static Mechanics
The static mechanics deals with bodies at rest.
Dynamic Mechanics
The dynamic mechanics deals with the bodies in motion. It can further divided into two categories:
- Kinematics
- Kinetics
Kinematics
In kinematics, we deal with the motion of bodies without considering force of acting on them or their masses.
In kinematics, er are interested in calculating such qualities as position, velocity and acceleration vector of a particle.
Kinetics
Kinetics are concerned with the relation between the force acting of bodies and the resulting motion.
