Position of moving particle

Position of Moving Particle

Consider a particle in xy-plane moving along a curve AB. Let at any time 't', the particle is at point 'p' whose position vector is given by

(OP) ̅= r ̅

Now as the time progress the particle changes its position. It means that its position depends upon the time ‘t’ so

r ̅=r ̅(t)

r ̅= t2i+6tj

Note:

r ̅=r ̅(t) is a function of time, it is the equation of the locus(path) along with the particle moves.
